Frequently Asked Questions
RC Consultancy is designed for English-speaking international professionals, students, families and newcomers who are moving to France or already living there and looking for a new home. If French rental websites, documents and requirements feel confusing, we're here to help.
Yes. We support both people relocating to France for the first time and international residents already in France who need to move to a new apartment or city.
No. We are an independent relocation and housing support consultancy, not a real estate agency or landlord representative. We help you research, prepare and apply with confidence, but property owners and agencies make their own decisions, and we cannot guarantee availability or acceptance.
Yes — this is one of the main reasons clients work with us. We help you understand rental terminology, documents and communications in both French and English, so a language gap doesn't hold your search back.
Requirements vary by landlord and agency, but commonly include identity documents, proof of employment, an employment contract, recent payslips, proof of income, tax documents, proof of address, and guarantor documentation where applicable. We help you understand exactly what's needed and organise it clearly.
Yes, where appropriate we help you understand or draft messages to landlords and agencies in French and English. You remain directly responsible for your application and communication, unless the other party expressly agrees to communicate with RC Consultancy.
No. RC Consultancy works exclusively for you, the client. We are not a real estate agency, broker, or representative of any landlord or agency — our role is to support your search, not to sell a property on someone else's behalf.
Pricing depends on the scope of support you need. Get in touch via WhatsApp, email or the contact form and we'll walk you through the options based on your situation — with no obligation.
Yes. We support rental searches across France, whether you're looking in Paris, another major city, or a smaller town.
A note on how we work: RC Consultancy provides relocation, research and practical housing support. We do not guarantee the availability or acceptance of any property. Property owners and agencies make their own decisions regarding applications, and rental agreements are entered into directly between the client and the relevant landlord or agency.
